Floating Jellyfish
A truly unique statement piece for any Poseidon Playground or Under-The-Sea themed event. Enchanting sea creatures bobbing, dancing and spinning on the current in a Watery World above guests’ heads.
These amazing beings gently float, spin and dance, greeting and tantalising guests with illusively unreachable tendrils, before they defy gravity to drift back up and out of reach.
A commission for the ‘Lost City of Atlantis’ themed Goodwood Revival Ball in the UK, the Floating Jellyfish were created to give VIP guests the feeling of being underwater as they entered the venue.
How they work
Floating Jellyfish performers are pre-set in the air before guests enter to maximise visual impact and minimise technical manoeuvres in front of the audience.
Movement is created by aerialists in bungee harnesses with our show rigger controlling motor movement and checking in to spin the Jellyfish during the 20 min ambient set.
Floating Jellyfish return to dry land and in turn release their inner Mermaiden to the human world before the exquisite Jellyfish skirts float back up to create all-night aerial decor with enchanting ambient lighting.
Technical
We bring all equipment and costume to clip to the venue motor hook and supply all H&S paperwork required with a site visit required for new venues.
To bring each Jellyfish to your venue we will need:
A suitable structural point
Min. venue height of 7m
A suitable motor installed for people flying
Jellyfish can be booked as a solo, trio or a quintet with an additional 3 Decor Jellyfish (without aerialists) available for enhanced event decor.
